The La Salle Botanical Gardens will have walking trails, bike paths, campsites, picnic grounds to encourage the healthy practice of relaxing and enjoying in natural environments. (Read more here.)
A BOTANICAL GARDEN WILL HELP ADDRESS OUR BIODIVERSITY ISSUES.
A Botanical Garden has a specific scientific mission. It is dedicated to the collection, cultivation, preservation, and display of a wide range of plants.
The La Salle Botanical Gardens (LSBG) will prioritize the conservation of the native species of trees and plants.
WE WILL BUILD 24 HECTARES OF LUSH GREENS FROM LAND COVERED WITH LAHAR.
The La Salle Botanical Gardens is in Porac, Pampanga. It is located right beside the Alviera development of Ayala Land and Leonio Land, off the Porac Exit on SCTEX
HOW TO GET THERE
- On NLEX Northbound, take the SCTEx Exit
- Take Porac exit #139
- Continue on Porac Access Road and turn right on Alviera
- On NLEX Southbound, exit at #139 Porac
- Continue on Porac Access Road and Turn right at Alviera
WHO IS BUILDING WITH YOU
De La Salle Philippines (DLSP), through the Lasallian Institute for the Environment (LIFE) is the main proponent of this endeavor.
The Brothers lead the way and involve other Lasallians in the building of the project. Some La Salle faculty serve as scientific and technical advisers for the gardens and biodiversity directions. Several La Salle graduates are in project management and essential operations.
The La Salle network of schools across the country contribute in the seed collection and seedling propagation ensuring representation of regional flora. A whole community genuinely concerned for the environment is making this project happen.
The project shall be completely funded by grants and donations from supporters and benefactors.
